EXIF Editor – edit image metadata online

Change the title, description, author, copyright, dates, GPS and keywords stored inside JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC and PSD files. Metadata is written straight into the file, so the pixels and quality stay exactly the same.

How to use it

  1. Upload your image. The editor fills the form with the metadata it already contains.
  2. Edit any field – or type a title and description and press Auto-fill SEO to complete the rest.
  3. Optionally convert to WebP/AVIF, fix orientation or create srcset sizes, then press Save and download.

Which fields can I edit?

ImageDescription, Copyright, Artist, DateTimeOriginal, DateTime, Orientation, Software, Make, Model, GPS latitude and longitude, and the Windows fields XPTitle, XPComment, XPKeywords and XPSubject. Each value is written to both EXIF and XMP so that Windows Explorer, Google Images, WordPress and Adobe apps all read it.

You also get HTML-ready alt text, caption and title, plus a copy-paste <img> tag with width, height, srcset and sizes.

Lossless metadata editing

Most online editors decode and re-save the whole image, which lowers quality. This editor rewrites only the metadata part of JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC and PSD files. PSD layers are preserved, and the file is re-encoded only if you choose a format change, resize or re-compression.

Frequently asked questions

Will editing EXIF reduce image quality?
No. When you keep the same format, only the metadata is rewritten – the image data is copied byte for byte.
Can I add GPS location to a photo?
Yes. Enter latitude and longitude in decimal form, for example 28.4595 and 77.0266. Only add a location when it is accurate and relevant.
Does Google use image metadata?
Google mainly relies on the page around an image (alt text, file name, caption), but it can show creator and copyright from IPTC/XMP metadata in Google Images. Good metadata also keeps your ownership information attached to the file.
Can I edit metadata of a PSD without flattening it?
Yes. EXIF and XMP are written into the PSD image resources section, so every layer stays intact.
